Delete Device Data
The Delete Device Data section lets users clear data from a device.
API Calls
Section titled “API Calls”Clear the history of all the API requests made by the device.
Device State
Section titled “Device State”Clear the device’s last online timestamp, location, and software version.
Data Files
Section titled “Data Files”Remove all data files uploaded by the device.
Factory Reset
Section titled “Factory Reset”Send the device a factory reset command.
Granular Reset
Section titled “Granular Reset”The user can select one or more options to include in the factory reset.
Connected Logger
Section titled “Connected Logger”Devices with a model type of Connected Logger support the following granular factory reset options:
Data Buffer
Section titled “Data Buffer”Key: data_buffer
This will permanently erase all logged CAN data from the device.
Events Buffer
Section titled “Events Buffer”Key: events_buffer
This will permanently erase all logged event data from the device.
GPS Buffer
Section titled “GPS Buffer”Key: gps_buffer
This will permanently erase all logged GPS data from the device.
Device Settings
Section titled “Device Settings”Key: device_settings
This will reset all device settings to factory defaults, including Wi-Fi, LTE, CAN bus, BLE, HTTP, MQTT, storage sizes, passwords, logging intervals, and IMU.
Certificates
Section titled “Certificates”Key: certificates
This will erase the certificates used to connect to the cloud.
Operational Settings
Section titled “Operational Settings”Key: operational_settings
This will erase all signal definitions and event configurations.
Reboot
Section titled “Reboot”Key: reboot
